I’ve got something a bit more relaxing to chill to today. My first taste of some real lounge music ear candy for the 2014 summer season. Although this song came out over a year ago I still think many of you haven’t heard this yet. My first foray into the world of Bago was her song “Devil Inside” on a Hattie Wilson BTS video that came out a few weeks ago on vimeo (not showing that because of “reasons”). She’s got a real sweet voice. I like to think her voice is a mix between Badu and LDR with sick beats that rival any of the great R&B songs of our era.
Today’s Track, “I Forget You” starts off like a horror story would with the soft laugh and then pounces on you like a jump scare with a beat that won’t let you go. Her words flow into the chorus and they take you for a ride and don’t let you go till it sequences into the next track.
It’s a true Head-Swayer. Here you go: “I Forget You” by Bago
You know that feeling of level-headedness that you get when you’re around someone that you really care about? That whole just being near that person makes you calmer and and content? Where you don’t really need anything except from them except their presence?
This isn’t that type of love.
This is the “crazy” “what are we doing here” “grab my hands as we run through the street laughing like crazy people” love. One of those that makes the people around you ask “What the hell are they on?”. This is “singing to your love in the middle of the day for no reason” love. It’s young love and old love brought together into one really nice song. This short banger with a bass heavy chorus goes perfectly with the lyrics.
Here’s “Not on Drugs” by Tove Lo:
A character substitution turns, Tove lo into “Love to” and her new EP Truth Serum is out on Itunes and Spotify now. And, you’d “Love to” listen to the rest of it. Trust me.
I’m here once again to pour some sweet music into you ears. This afternoon, we’re here to remind you about about the fact that there are many other fish in the sea.
No, not really. While I’m quite sure there are really tons of fish in the sea, the likelihood that you’ll find one with the perfect cogs for your machine is slim. Actually, given that there are like 7 and a half billion people in this world, there’s probably a greater chance that you’ll find someone who is much more perfect for you elsewhere than in your current living location. But, that’s not the point. The point is that I needed a way to ease into this amazing remix.
Wet – Don’t Wanna Be Your Girl (Branchez Remix); (Brought to you by Mr. Suicide Sheep)
Oh yeah, side note: Did any of you notice how really close 13 was with his predictions? Fucking beastly.
And, I realized that I typoed, but I’m leaving it for the future. I am human.
Ok folks, I’ve got something relatively new for you guys. Here’s something new from my current artist obsession. Spark Master Tape: Proprecia. It’s a banger, great for bumping loud in the headphones or car. One of the reasons that I love listening to most of Spark’s music is that it reminds me of old rap. It’s loud and it just rolls in the ride. It’s great music. But, you don’t have to take my word for it:
So, I may have missed V-Day by a few days (weeks, whatever). But, since I’ve been feeling loving recently, and I just wanted to talk to you guys, (one or two of you in particular) I’m quite sure you’ll forgive me today. Here’s your song for today.
Hey, guys. I’m feeling a bit money hungry today. So, I felt that this would be a great song for today. It’s my soundtrack for this evening. This is the first song that I actually remember buying the CD for.
Real talk, I took this album to a party in my CD player, (I did awkward shit like take my own music to house parties just in case I didn’t like the music they were playing. I guess I’ve always had a knack for this.) And, It got jacked from me. That was a sad day. Fuck whoever did that. I’m still holding a grudge.
Bump it with me.
Back when things were simple. Swishahouse was my first group that I really enjoyed.
I’m quite sure that you can totally guess what’s about to happen. I’m about to toss up a new Soundtrack of Our Lives post. Not going to say much but, here’s what’s my life has been like for the past few weeks. It’s coming along swimmingly. I suppose. Yeah, something like that. I’m going to be doing an album review sometime next week. Maybe, if I can finish. If not, then it will def be the next week. Also, a new surprise sometime soon too.
Here you go: What you Know by Two Door Cinema Club
So, my bad guys, I totally fucking forgot about yesterday. No excuses though. So, we’re going to do two posts today. Gonna do one right now, and another one when I get out of class around 9ish. So, expect the other one sometime around noon. So, what’s your dose for today? How about some DRUGS?
Looks like I finally am starting to remember what tomorrow looks like. Well, here’s your daily dose of Ratatat. You guys enjoying the rock hard beats? I call it a head cleanser. Because there are no words, the music allows you to think freely. Now then, enough thought. Let’s get some head rocking going on. Make sure you put on your “Neckbrace” by Ratatat.
Yo, we’re here for day 2. Apparently I still don’t know what the fuck tomorrow means. This time we’re going to be hearing a track that Ratatat is featured on. With Kid Cudi and MGMT on the album Man on the Moon, here’s “Pursuit of Happiness”
