Ai Tenchi Muyo! Ep. 4 – Anime Review

I had hopes that after yesterday’s nice showing of plot and lack of pointless Tenchi oppression, today’s episode would continue down the line of greatness that it could be.

I was wrong. But, that’s okay. This episode wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. It was a step down from yesterday to be sure, but not completely as bad as episode 2. And, I’ll explain why after the jump.

I'm working on using smaller images. I think..

This episode picks up directly where episode 2 leaves off, minus the members of the student council. Tenchi escapes their clutches but is stripped down to his boxers and running around an all girl school. (That’ll get you on some lists in America.) After running around for a bit he stumbles into a closed off building with a drop floor which is when we finally get some plot.

We also got these 2. Remember them

Apparently from the girls that ran into Tenchi in episode 1, there’s some kind of divide. I think. Episode was real vague AND it didn’t stick on the topic long because the other main heroine, Beni showed up. And, as one would think, she’s got the exact opposite personality as Momo.

How I feel.

Then, the episode ended with almost the exact same situation as Ep. 2. Actually it was the exact same situation. Just. Ugh.

Why God? Why?

Why God? Why?

I don’t know what I’m going to do about this. 5 minute episodes aren’t long enough. But, we’ve now seen 3 of the old crew so, we’ve got that going for us.  You’ll have to excuse me, I’m probably still bitter from the first two.

This one gets a 3 out of 6 Spinning Anime Discs.

Don’t worry about the water marks, I just used a weird website the past few days, I’m planning on using something else next time. Probably, maybe.
